Sis
By Walker’s Katy out of Thomson’s Amos. Sis has competed and won in both cattle and sheep trials, with great natural herding instinct. Most recently she won the Open Sheepdog Trials at Fort Worth in 2002 and at Houston in 2001 and 2002. She is the foundation bitch of the current line, the dam of Ben and the source of blood that runs through most of the dogs in the fold.
Ben
By Walker’s Sis out of McCord’s Stetson. Ben was a young dog who placed or won at both sheep and cattle trials, with a big outrun and good herding instincts. His career record is remarkable by any measure — more than $25,000 in trial earnings, the $10,000 first prize at the Calgary Stampede World Stockdog Championship, and the 2004 Texas State Cattledog Finals. Ben died on May 17, 2008. Read his full story on Ben’s Page.
Lee
By Luedecke’s Nan out of Walker’s Ben. They say dynamite comes in small packages. Lee bites hard on cattle, heals low to the ground, and will run in the 2002 Lone Star Cattle Dog Futurity in October before becoming a trial dog and brood bitch. She went on to win at the Sundowner Shootout and place consistently in the Pro-Novice class.
Bill
By Luedecke’s Kate out of Thomson’s Tag. Bill is very keen with a lot of bite on the heels — he seems to be taking after his daddy, Chris Thomson’s Tag, a dog who won a cattle trial one week and a sheep trial the next, then came home and penned the chickens in between. I can only hope. Bill went on to win the 2005 Sundowner Shootout class and place in the Open at the National Finals.
